Our focus is to eliminate stigma and any form of discrimination towards PLWHA.
By sharing facts about HIV/AIDS and how it is transmitted, we hope we could help raising awareness, especially to the young people, about HIV/AIDS and PLWHA's existence and needs in society. They need our support, not judgement. Let alone, discrimination.
Furthermore we hope our little campaign could help to prevent the spreading of HIV/AIDS which has been a concern in our country, Indonesia.
According to UNAIDS Asia Pacific data, Indonesia is 1 of only 9 countries globally with a growing HIV epidemic. In 2013, there were 638.000 people living with HIV in Indonesia and an estimated 76.000 new infections. Only 17% of people eligible for antiretroviral treatment in Indonesia actually received it.
We believe that even the smallest act of care could lead us to a better world.
